June 18th
Left Port Huron and drove along corn,tobacco and strawberry fields on the Niagara peninsula. Stayed at KOA Niagara-expensive but best restrooms and laundry so far(3pools one indoor pool)We went to( "OH,CANADA,EH!)dinner show-all Canadian music and food. Highly recommended.
June 19th
Off to the seventh wonder of the world Niagara Falls . We had a long and exciting day 9am to 9 pm. Morning the Canadian side and the American side in the afternoon. We were under,over,and in the falls,wet many times. The Horseshoe,American,and Bridal falls were outstanding.
June 20th
Toured beautiful historic Niagara-on-the-lake(original capital of Canada). Definately wine country. Tour and wine tasting at Inniskillin Winery.
June21th
Travelled through upper New York state-Buffalo,Rochester,Syracuse,Albany and entered Vermont. Lush and mountainous through the Green Mountains. Bridge out at Woodstock Vermont-1.5 hour detour but bought a carved wooden bear,maple syrup and a home-grown meal at the Farmer's Diner. Cool and rainy in Quechee Vermont. Long day 10.5 hours of driving.
June 22nd
Entered Quebec arrived at Quebec City KOA-lucky to get a camp site as this is a big holiday in Quebec (St. Jean de Baptiste weekend)overflow camping is great. (better than some campsites)
Weather is cold and some rain.
June 23rd
Went on combo tour-Rendez vous with history(old Quebec,Plains of Abraham,Citadel,Chateau Frontenac-fascinating and historical)in the morning,delicious lunch at Portofino Italian Restaurant in old Quebec and fabulous afternoon country tour of Montmorency Falls,I'ile d' Orleans,Copper Art Museum,Chocolate Factory,Chez Marie home made bread,Beaupre Coast and Shrine of Saint Anne-de-Beaupre Church. The most majestic church we have ever seen.
Had a drink with camping neighbours from Austraila when we got back at 7:30 P.M.
June 24th
Saint Jean de Baptiste Day. Relaxing sunny day 24 deg. C. Met some neighbours from Edmonton. We are trying to catch up on our blog. Can not always get internet connections.
Hope all is well with family and friends. Off to New Brunswick tomorrow.
