July 30th to 31st Halifax and Clyde River

July 30th

Very foggy. Our friends from Louisanna arrived in our campground last night. They had a couple of days of car problems and a bomb threat at the North Sydney ferry terminal. (9 hour delay leaving NFLD) Rained heavily all day and evening. We invited John and Sherryl for dinner and had a lovely evening. Sherryl gave us a package of Louisanna whole deboned stuffed chicken to use at a later date. Said our good-byes.

July 31st

Happy anniversary Brian and Shirley. Hope all our friends are having a good time in Loon Lake Washington. This morning we drove 3.5 hours to the southern part of N.S. We stayed at the Clyde River Campground a mile away from Ralph's cousin Larry and wife Darlene and daughter Lara. New campground with large boulders, swimming pool, fountain and sneaker tree-lovely campground. We visited with Larry and family on their 20 acres. Beautiful hot humid day.

Great to see you are having such a great time. We had an excellent holiday. The weather was better than last year not as hot only in the 90s. The kids had a lot of fun. Connor made a lot of new friends. Caleb was there for about 5 days and they got along great, and after he left he met some other little guys. This year he really liked the water so that was nice.
Cj had the chicken pox but she wasn't even crabby. She got them a week before we left. She was really good the first week but I think she was getting teeth the 2nd week so was a little cramky. Steve flew down for 4 days and Kristie and him went shopping and of course fishing.
We came back on Thursday to get ready for Deana's wedding. We had so much fun. Great to see everyone.
Had some beets and potatoes out of the garden. They were awesome.
