August 17th
Happy 39th Wedding Anniversary Janet and Carl . Lovely day 24Deg.C Busy doing blog ,pictures,and e-mails at Rob's (internet not working at campground).Rob,Ralph and I went to harness racing at Old Home Week.(lost more than we won) . We met a couple of Ralph"s buddies,Ken Docherty(works off the Ivory Coast of Africa) and Hughie Graham at the races. We also bumped into our cousin Karen Lavers and husband Leo. We stopped by Mom's at 11:30pm .Janet and Carl had arrived from Halifax for the weekend.
August 18th
Happy Wedding Day, Sid and Carol. Rained all night and all day. We spent the afternoon and evening with Cindy and family. Ralph's niece Bonnie and husband Allie came over from Glace Bay,Nova Scotia. The eight of us went out to dinner and the races at Old Home Week. The Gold Cup and Saucer Race ran at midnignt and is the highlight of Old Home Week.
The grounds were packed with people even though it rained.
August 19th
Happy Birthday, Janet.Cloudy and occasional rain. We visited with Janet,Carl and Mom. Rob,Kelly and children stopped by on their way home to Antigonish. They had rented a cottage in Cavendish since Thirsday. We all went over to Rob's and Barb's for a bar-b-que get together and birthday bash. Had lots of family fun and said goodbye to Janet,Carl,Rob,Kelly and family. About 9pm we went to Cindy's and had a bit of a party with Bonnie,Allie,Cindy, Saroush,Blair and Christine. Ready for a good night sleep afterwards.
